STEAM Education

This course focuses on exploring how STEAM classrooms work, applying design thinking process and running engaging lessons using strategies that take students traditional learning to out of the box innovative learning.

Data driven decision making

Data-driven educational decision making refers to the process by which school leaders collate, examine and triangulate data to identify strengths and deficiencies and apply those findings to their practices. In this workshop candidates will discover the various sources of data available in schools. They will explore some of the data collection methods and develop tools to collect qualitative data.

Lesson Planning

Getting students to learn while keeping the classrooms fun and engaging requires careful planning. This course equips teachers with strategies for lesson plans. When designed effectively, lesson plans keep teachers organized and on track while teaching. Thus, allowing them to teach more, help students reach objectives more easily, and manage their learning efficiently.

Assessment and Evaluation

Standardized testing has long been the norm, but what teachers often miss is that each student has unique strengths and needs. Critical as it is to effective teaching, assessment needs to be re-evaluated to fulfill the requirements of 21st century classrooms. This course aims to provide teachers with the necessary tools required for assessing and evaluating student learning.

Critical Thinking

Critical thinking is the art of analyzing and evaluating thinking with a view to improving it. This course helps teachers design inquiry-based lesson plans, apply thinking tools in the classroom to facilitate critical thinking and use the critical thinking tools to increase student engagement and understanding.
