DIRECTOR/CO-FOUNDER

Mohsin Raza

Mohsin Raza is an educator by passion and has been leading two schooling systems in Karachi and has vast experience of 10 years in the field of education. His teaching philosophy is grounded on his strong conviction in the power of love and empathy as a key and necessary enabler for imparting education. He has a passion for helping students to unlock their creativity, organize their thinking, and explore their world. During his rich experience as a teacher, mentor, and career counselor, he has trained and conducted numerous trainings and workshops which have turned out to be paradigm-shifting for many young teachers and students. He seeks to empower teachers of the society by developing a teacher’s training system which shall help the teachers imparting a great deal of knowledge to their learners. He has mastered and conducted plentiful trainings on Effective teaching methods, Motivating students, Classroom management, Science of Designing Assessment, etc.

DIRECTOR/CO-FOUNDER

Muhammad Baqar

Mr. Baqar is the Co-founder and CEO of EDLAB-Pakistan. He is a firm believer in the power of inculcating moral values in students coupled with education in hard sciences. Prior to EDLAB-Pakistan, he has served as Lecturer at Iqra University and PAF-KIET. Baqar also has 9+ years’ experience of teaching various science subjects to high school students at various private institutions. He launched an institution-wide Student Master Assessment Program to bring assessment methods down to effectively topical, conceptual level for each student to ensure understanding.

He co-founded Career Camp, a 5 day student mentorship and inspirational program that facilitated in students to self-exploration and career planning. Baqar has conducted 100+ sessions and been a regular invitee to speak on multi-dimensional topics on motivation, career counseling, effective mentoring, interpersonal skills, and communication skills, etc. on numerous occasions and platforms.

MASTER TRAINERS & CONSULTANTS

Kanwal Fawad
Kanwal is a diversified professional having more than 10 years of experience in the education and development sector. Her fourte is quality assurance, monitoring and evaluation, and curriculum development. She has served as Manager Quality Assurance in The City School, Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist in The Citizens Foundation and Head of Academic and Research in Fidem Education Network. She is engaged in facilitating school management teams and teachers from the platform of PDLC – a project of Beaconhouse school system and TEACH.
Amna Sheikh
Aamna Shaikh has a PhD in Special Education from the University of Karachi and is currently teaching there. She is a qualified IBCCES professional and project lead at EHSAS that provides therapies and school readiness programs. Aamna brings over 10 years of experience working directly with children and adults across the disability and Autism spectrum. Throughout her outstanding career as a special educator, she has played an important role in developing curricula and programs for a number of leading special needs schools and centres in Karachi, including serving as Principal of MEHRAN Institute of Special Education and Rehabilitation.
Farooq Parekh
Farooq Parekh’s extensive experience of teaching and training is spread over a period of two decades and extends to a wide variety of streams and audiences. Farooq is the founder of Sunflower Mantra. He is an Art Therapy practitioner and conducts art therapy workshops at T2f and other organisations. He is known for his tailor-made sessions to help families, individuals and groups in managing stress, organizing their lives, getting rid of unwanted habits and attaining happiness. He has recently acquired training in ‘Horticulture Therapy’ from New York Botanical Garden, USA and in “Creating Arts through movement and dance’ from Segni Mossi’ in Rome, Italy.
Isma Khan
Isma Khan is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) associated with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) in the USA. Isma has prior experience working with school children in London who have Autism and other developmental disorders. She has worked at the Carbone Clinic in Dubai where she pursued a Masters in ABA therapy focusing on Autism. She has been conducting one-on-one ABA therapy sessions for the past 5 years. She currently runs her own set up with a few other therapists whereby they work closely with caregivers. They focus on teaching children with Autism and other delays how to communicate and reach developmental milestones such as imitation, toilet training and other life skills.
Tahir Javed
Tahir Javed is an educational consultant with a strong background in educational management, school leadership, teacher development, assessment, and language teaching. Presently, he is Director of Learning and Development at The Intellect School. His previous professional engagements in Education have been as follows: Program Manager (2010-14) at SIE-iEARN, managing the English Access Program serving 1,900+ students in underprivileged areas of Karachi, Hyderabad, and Rawalpindi; Director (2001-2010) of Al-Murtaza School and Al-Murtaza Professional Development Center; worked (1993-2001) with Aga Khan Education Service, Pakistan, and AKU-IED. He got his M.A. Education from Concordia University, Montreal.
Rahila Ashraf
Rahila Ashraf is a seasoned Synthetic Phonics practitioner with an experience of two decades in teaching and teacher development. She is an approved trainer for the Oxford Teachers’ Academy courses collaboration of the Oxford University Department of Continuing Education and the Oxford University Press (OUP) ELT Division. Rahila’s extensive teacher development experience includes workshops and courses for OUP, SPELT, and schools in Pakistan and the Middle East. She holds a double degree, including a gold medal in Education and a formal training in Synthetic Phonics as a teacher developer from the UK.
Zeeshan Khan
Zeeshan Khan is a professional trainer, motivational speaker and British Council Trained IELTS instructor who helps develop interpersonal and intrapersonal skills by facilitating individuals to grow personally and professionally.He has 360 ̊ experience working for multinational air charter company (Chapman Freeborn), international language institute (Berlitz), facilities management (Nitty Gritty), advertisement (ABC Coms) to name a few. Zeeshan trains, counsels and conducts facilitations on Speed Reading, Elevator Speech, Time Management, SMART Goal Setting, Professional Communication and IELTS training. Zeeshan strongly believes in the idea of ‘Learn, Implement, and Share’ and does not hesitate to share his experience and knowledge with peers, clients, and students.
Hajra M. Saleem
Hajra M. Saleem is an affable and assertive young individual who is passionate about training and motivational speaking. She is a Gold Medalist from University Of Karachi with a Master’s degree in Educational Psychology and a Diploma in Early Childhood Education from London Teachers Training College. She was also the former President of the English literacy Society in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Hajra is affiliated with EDLAB Pakistan as an Educational Resource Developer and Trainer. She strives to hone pedagogy skills in teachers through training and designing professional development workshops on various subjects including gamification, storytelling, lesson planning, creative writing, Student counseling and interpersonal skills etc
